Fatherless respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on our platform, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice.
Submitting a DMCA Notice

DMCA notices receive expedited review. We typically respond within 24–48 hours.
Required Information
Your DMCA notice must include:
- Your identification: Name, address, phone number, email
- Copyright information: Description of the copyrighted work and proof of ownership
- Infringing material: Specific URLs or descriptions of infringing content on Fatherless
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief the content is infringing
- Accuracy statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
- Your signature: Physical or electronic signature
Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Promptly remove or disable access to the infringing content
- Notify the content uploader of the removal
- Inform them of their right to file a counter-notice
- Preserve evidence of the notice for legal proceedings
Counter-Notice
If you received a DMCA notice and believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your name, address, phone, and email
- Description of the removed content
- Statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content does not infringe
- Your consent to jurisdiction and acceptance of service of process
- Your signature (physical or electronic)
Repeat Infringers
Fatherless has a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. We may take action against accounts that have multiple DMCA violations within 12 months.
Fair Use
We recognize fair use under copyright law. Criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and parody may be protected. However, determinations of fair use are complex and fact-specific.
Dispute Resolution
If you and another party have a copyright dispute, we encourage you to resolve it directly. We may refuse to take action if we determine a notice is invalid or if a dispute appears to be a misunderstanding between parties.
